Can I use one goal for the same event on two chains?

Our deposit event has the same business meaning on Base and Arbitrum but different contract addresses. Should this be one conversion goal with two sources or separate goals for each network?

Accepted answer
Use one business goal if you want a combined conversion metric, then attach each supported contract source to it. Keep separate goals only when the chains need different values or reporting treatment.

We combined Base and Arbitrum deposits and filter by network when investigating. The top-line goal stays much easier to read.
